Scotsburn Horse Trials is run on Scotsburn Farm near Invergordon in Easter Ross on the last weekend in May every year. The event is organised by the "Scotsburn Horse Trials Association", a not for profit association which is run by the organising committee.
British Eventing (BE) are the national govering body for the sport of eventing in the UK and the Horse Trials is run under BE rules and is officiated by BE.
Our aim is to provide a high standard eventing venue in the Highlands and to bring the sport of eventing to the doorstep of our local riders whilst also catering for national riders in Scotland.
The Horse Trials was started in 2003 with 80 competitors and grown rapidly since, now running more than 200 horses during the competition. Scotsburn Farm is predominatly run as a livestock farm with the exception of the Horse Trials in May and the various Ross-shire Pony Club rallies and camps which take place throughout the season.
Without the continued and generous support of the army of helpers and volunteers, the event would simply not be possible. If you would like to volunteer at Scotsburn please email Jennifer Durham firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
